I have received trigger point massage treatment from Tony Dunne on numerous occasions because I find this type of massage has significant therapeutic benefits. Tony is always extremely professional and knowledgeable in his approach and makes me feel immediately comfortable and confident that I am in good hands. For any women out there who may be apprehensive about attending a male massage practitioner, please don't be! Any doubts you may have about this will be quickly dispelled by the superior level of treatment and reduction in muscle stiffness and pain, wherever it may be. As a Chinese medicine and acupuncture practitioner I am very fussy about who treats me and Tony is one of the few I would trust implicitly to be able to relieve my pain. Highly recommended!

Ongoing back issue resolved I had an ongoing issue with tightness and pain in the right side of my upper back for months. It was limiting my range of motion and power for gym work, I had two sessions of deep tissue massage with Tony who quickly identified the source of the problem and gave me a plan with exercises to manage the issue. Three weeks later and I can feel the benefit of his treatment and advise. Highly recommend Tony for his depth of knowledge and skill as a masseur.

Great experience. I went to Tony for a regular deep tissue massage after doing a big training and racing block. Tony was able to find some muscles that I didn’t even know were tight, causing me to slouch and hampering my quality of life. He freed up the muscles and He advised me of exercises to strengthen that area, also showed me how to do stretches to help. A few days later he sent a link to a video with sleep technique to help further alleviate the problem.

Tony is a true professional who is very knowledgeable about all body and muscles. I had chronic neck and shoulder pain due to the work that I do. I also had regular headaches after a days work. Tony tailored the massage to meet my specific needs. With his knowledge and expertise on the body and muscles he was able to target the source of my pain and alleviate it. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the most exceptional massage session with Tony Dunne of Bodywork Therapy.
I felt welcome, at ease & relaxed with Tony, who assessed my specific needs and explained what his focus of the session would be.

10/10 Fantastic I would highly recommend Tony. I was very stiff and had a lot of leg and back pain mainly due to working on the computer over lockdown. After 4 sessions I felt like the old me again - back running and do my yoga again 10/10 .

My treatment with Tony Some weeks ago I had a bad fall resulting with severe pain in my ankle and hip. I kept hoping it would ease but no joy. It would get so bad I could hardly walk.
I booked an appointment with Tony, he noted all about my fall and assessed my pain. It transpired my ribs on both sides of my body and also my back were causing the severe pain.
My back and shoulders had knots the severity was unreal but to reassure me Tony applied a pressure that was bearable. He worked on all the trigger points.
Tony gave me clear instructions Re. exercises/stretching to help me through the sessions and to practice daily too. I knew after my third visit last week I had great improvement and relief.
I can put on my socks now and even tie my shoes (there was weeks where this was impossible with pain).
I have my 4th visit this week and I can honestly say only for Tony's excellent knowledgeable caring way in treating me ie. knowing the source of my pain being identified working so hard on the trigger points.
I would highly recommend Tony he is so professional/ caring/ thoughtful. A treatment can be availed of in Killarney or Killorglin.

Tony did an amazing job over a 4 week period to get me ready for a cycle challenge I wanted to do with years and never had the energy to do it. I had my polycystic kidneys removed at Xmas and the cycle event was in May, so I was allowed back cycling in March and with no time to train ready for a 6 Day Cycle Challenge of cycling from Malin to Mizen Head I had to find a way to improve my fitness by getting the most out of training. I went about finding somebody to help me and I found Tony online. He was so enthusiastic about getting me in shape and was flexible around my schedule and training. I did treatments every week and I was able to train harder as I was fresher from previous spins and as a result got stronger. I completed my 6 day cycle with very little time training and it was so enjoyable. I can't thank Tony for all the work and advice he gave me. Finally he even lent me one of his massage guns to make sure my legs were fresh for each day. I highly recommend him for all sports and challenges. Thank you so much.

Excellent Tony's warm welcome and professionalism in a room that was warm and inductive to immediate relaxation. I attended Tony on my husband's recommendation after his very successful treatments which gave him huge relief from chronic shoulder pain. I had restricted left neck movement for a few month which after oestopath and physiotherapy treatment was not very effected. My neck movement was still giving me pain and affecting my sleep. After a few trigger point treatments my neck movement has improved greatly and with the exercise that Tony advised me to do routinely thankfully I have full rotation movement again and I am pain free. He is very informative and imparts his knowledge in a very friendly understanding way. I would highly recommend and encourage anyone with muscle or ligament problems to contact Tony.

Brilliant trigger point therapist.
My husband and I were travelling through southern Ireland and found Tony through a google search. I have had ongoing pain through my right arm and lower back for over 6 months. After the session I felt much more relaxed and noticed the pain had lessened considerably, if not almost disappeared.
Tony took the time to understand where the pain was, identified the trigger points / knots and worked on them for the entire session. Tony is knowledgable and professional and its evident he genuinely wants to help relieve the pain. I'd full recommend a visit. I only wish Tony lived closer to our home town so we could visit him regularly. If you need a massage, or have pain that needs attention, make an appointment and visit, you will be pleased you did!

I have been going to Tony regularly following signing for Kerry FC.
I had a few issues going into the new football season including problems with my groin and calves, but after some trigger point massage, I’m feeling great and back to full fitness.

A By Chance Miracle I was on a 14 Day bus tour when on the 4th Day something went wrong I could not walk without severe pain. Our tour stopped in Killarney. I call around to several massage studios but could not get an appointment, then a miracle happened one of the studios gave me Tony's name and number. Tony called me immediately and setup an appointment. It was set for an hour but after the hour I new I needed more so Tony extended the appointment for an additional 30 minutes. He was so good and seemed to reach every spot that need some work (a lot of work!!) He also gave me some exercises to help me on the rest of the trip. The massage was great and although sore I could walk with less pain and I was able to complete my trip. Thanks is not enough!!

I have been for many therapeutic massage . What makes Tony stand out is he concentrates on the problematic area and finds the trigger points and works on that area . He also uses the breathe to help release the area involved
The room is always so warm and welcoming and I like the fact that he applies heat to the area to relax the muscles . He also gives appropriate exercises to specific injury .

Sports massage I went to Tony to get a massage prior to a game, I found the massage excellent and it helped me immensely. Tony was incredibly attentive and listened to exactly what I was saying and feeling. After running through what was bothering me he proceeded with the massage, after a thorough session I left there feeling reinvigorated, energised and ready to hit the ground running. After the session Tony provided me with tips and stretches to help my preparation and to reduce stiffness and soreness from high intensity sport. Tony is clearly extremely knowledgeable and good at what he does. Over the course of a few sessions, he helped me overcome chronic, and at times, debilitating pain that I had seen several other types of therapists for over the last few years. I really liked that the bodywork was not passive, but that he guided me to reconnect to muscles that had been underused due to years of dysfunction while also releasing the ones that had been overused. Several months later, and I continue to see the benefits I experienced from my sessions with him.

Highly recommend. Suffering with pain in my foot ankle leg and knee after a fall two years ago. Learned to put up it with until it started interfering with my running. Went put for a small run today and felt Amazing. My feet didn't feel tight and didnt feel the usual pain.

Highly recommend I work sitting down at a computer all day and had a terrible pain in my neck. I went to Tony last Friday to do trigger point massage and after one session it has majorly improved. He took the time to explain why the neck pain had occurred and afterwards gave me exercises to do. He even followed up by email with them as well. I would highly recommend.

Does exactly what it says on the tin!! I have attended Tony for a number of sessions to deal with back, neck and shoulder pain/discomfort including tightness and stubborn knots. I have only positive things to say about Tony and the treatment he has given me.
He is very eager to educate the client on stretching and breathing exercises which support treatment and healing. Along with a practical demonstration, he also sends an email explaining simple yet therapeutic work the client can do themselves to speed recovery.
Tony always addresses any issues, areas of tension and pressure points that I bring to his attention. Through the unique method of treatment he gives, I notice the effects because I feel the release of tension and loosening of tight muscles/knots.
I always find Tony to be knowledgeable, professional, calm, good humoured and thorough. It never feels like he is clock-watching or rushing the appointment. His effort is always consistent.
The treatment room is relaxing, comfortable and quiet. Appointments are always on time and there is plenty of parking space.

Excellent I booked in to see Tony for relaxation purposes and had a massage like I’ve never had before. I had been holding a lot of tension in places I had never had focused on before and I felt a million dollars walking out. So much so that I booked in for another session before I left Killarney.
The massage room was beautiful and Tony was a gentleman, going over and beyond by showing me exercises to focus on the problem area and by emailing me in further detail. I’m looking forward to my next trip to see him and have recommended him to friends.

Went to Tony for an upper torso Lymphatic drainage massage and it was truly amazing. It is a light form of massage but the treatment is surreal as you can feel the benefits in areas other than being treated as explained by Tony. The effect was immediate however it was the following day benefits and feeling of lightness, not congested and clarity that I was most amazed with and loved. Would highly recommend this treatment with Tony and I will definitely return for more sessions.

Fantastic Can't recommend Tony enough. Went with neck and shoulder pain got trigger point massage done. Tony was able to find the source of the pain almost immediately and work with trigger point on those area. The instant relief that I got was unbelievable. Leave your pain behind I have been going to Tony for awhile now, with a few questions he’s able to determine the cause of your pain and gets to work on that area, he truly knows and understands how all of the body is connected. You come away feeling, and moving, so much better. A few things that I truly appreciate, he won’t have you needlessly keep coming back, he regularly spends more time with you instead of just stopping wherever he’s at after an hour, he spends time showing you exercises and stretches to do to help with your pain and muscle issues. I was looking for a massage while on vacation in Ireland. I found Tony through Beauty Within (in Killorglin) and was thrilled to find a therapist who offered so many options. I chose the 75 minute Hot Stone Massage.

First Class Treatment I have just had my fourth treatment with Tony. Came to him after trying several other types of treatment for severe head, neck and shoulder pain. My pain has eased greatly and I now have more movement and my neck and shoulders feel so much more relaxed. I have also not had to take any pain killers for the past few weeks. He is very professional and explains the reason for my pain and where it is originating from. He is now able to go deeper with his treatment and I am feeling better and better after each treatment. As a 42 year old, this really affected my overall well being, mood and quality of life. Massage trigger point therapy Tony offered an intense target specific massage which offered great relief of my lower back, hip and leg muscles. His additional recommendations of home exercises are very helpful to maintain the benefits his session provided. This extra service goes beyond any massage treatment I have ever had. “Top Class Treatment.” Tony is a fantastic Masseur who really knows he’s profession. As an elite cyclist I’ve noticed a performance benefit by seeing him and letting him help me with my recovery between training and racing. Trigger point therapy My shoulder and neck were completely seized up, I couldn't move and I was in a lot of pain. I got the Trigger Point therapy done, which was extremely painful but also extremely effective. I had complete mobility back after a few sessions. I would definitely recommend it.

Bad shoulder pain Tony is a very good Therapist and I would highly recommend him if you have any injuries new or old. He really works so hard I've never been to any Physio like him he really is brilliant at what he does.I couldn't rate him any higher and he really is doing great on my bad shoulder which is an old injury but I'm already getting relief from the very bad pain I had with it the 4 months previously.

Excellent treatment- thorough and efficient pain relief! Tony administers each massage with the same maximum effort and understands the necessity of true pain relief- My back injury often interrupts my sleep. A Much Needed Massage on a Much Needed Month Long Vacation We took a month long trip to Ireland from the USA. While we were visiting Killarney I decided to get a massage. Highly recommend. Suffering with pain in my foot ankle leg and knee after a fall two years ago. Learned to put up it with until it started interfering with my running. Went put for a small run today and felt Amazing. My feet didn't feel tight and didnt feel the usual pain.

Great Experience, Highly Recommend I have been to Tony twice now for a trigger point massage. Tony is very accommodating with appointments, I am a full time student who also works part time so have a busy schedule, but have had no issues getting an appointment with Tony. During my first session, he was able to identify muscle tightness and displacement that I was unaware of, and released the waste trapped where necessary. Tony offers a relaxed environment, and makes me feel comfortable throughout the session. After my session, he took it upon himself to demonstrate stretches to help my mobility when weight training, and even emailed me helpful resources to guide me. He also gave me a glass of lemon water at the end of my session which was a nice refreshing touch after the massage. My second session with Tony was just as enjoyable, and having not seen me for weeks and dealt with many customers in between, still remembered details of my treatment, and also my college/ work life, which ads a nice personal touch to the experience. I would definitely recommend Tony to everyone, and I will certainly be returning to him regularly

Tony is professional, informative and provides good advice for aftercare and future prevention. Lymphatic Drainage massage Went to Tony for an upper torso Lymphatic drainage massage and it was truly amazing. It is a light form of massage but the treatment is surreal as you can feel the benefits in areas other than being treated as explained by Tony. The effect was immediate however it was the following day benefits and feeling of lightness, not congested and clarity that I was most amazed with and loved. Would highly recommend this treatment with Tony and I will definitely return for more sessions.

Lymphatic drainage massage relaxing and effective Made an appointment with Tony for a lymphatic drainage massage. I was 8 weeks post surgery and still very tender. The massage was gentle and relaxing. Tony gave exercises and stretches which I have continued to do everyday. After massage I slept soundly for the first time in weeks. Would highly recommend

I had been struggling with tightness in my calf and achilles, and was struggling to walk without pain. Tony was recommended to me by a friend.
